Faces to Names . . .

(left to right) Eric Pringle, Eric Bauza, Dwight Cushman, Lois Lee, Christine Knockles, Katie Rice, Niki Pontius. This photo captures only a few of the many talented folks (that I'm sure will kill me for posting this pic, especially the ladies, cause we all know that ladies hate old pictures) that were apart of the Spumco Class of 00. That was taken during a famous Spumco drawing class, in the fancy ass kitchen we had over on Grandview (close to Dreamworks). Thank you Pringle for the hilarious pic!!!

Here's a lil added bonus drawing that the great FRED OSMOND drew for me on one of my birthdays!!!

Hey Eric(Stimpson J. Cat)Bauza

How many times did you have to record your lines for the R & S episode "Ren Seeks Help"? That cartoon had the best character acting EVER! You played Stimpys part great in that cartoon. I'm sure John made you say the line "YOU MONSTER!" for at least 5 or 7 times right? I really hope that John will get to make more new Ren & Stimpy cartoons in the future.

Jealousy ensues!! Oh, to rub elbows with at least a portion of the genius in that room! Cool drawing too. looks like me after my last Vegas trip.

- - - HEY JESSE!

Thanks again for the kind words! Man, oh man! I was probably only in the the show for like 5-7 mins, but I was probably in the sound booth for like 3 to 4 hours!!! I lost my voice for like 3 days after!!!

It was pretty intense, but totally worth it in the end.

Hi Eric

"Ren Seeks Help" seems to be the one APC episode where people worked the hardest on to get every thing perfect. It's a great cartoon. You and John did the best acting in that cartoon. I am buying the R & S Lost Episodes DVD the very day it comes out! And I hope for more R & S cartoons in the future.

Your pal,

Jesse Oliver

Hey Eric! You're an amazing talent! I love the voices you do in the APC R&Ss. I think I wanna be you when I grow up. An animator and a voice actor. That'd be one heck of a job! I know John spoke of you one time saying you can draw too and from seeing that future cat drawing, you draw pretty damn good! keep up the cool-ass work!

Future cat is cool, but the WPH drawings you've done are stunning.

WPH had the potential to be my favorite thing ever out of Spumco. I really love the dark stuff. The acting and drawings shine through the fact that is was never finished and made in flash.

- - - Ohhhh I WISH I could take credit for those GREAT WPH drawings - but I didn't draw those! It's been a while since I've looked at those WPH FLASH files, but I think those specific drawings were produced by John K, and Matt Danner.

I promise to start posting some of MY OWN drawings, but I thought you fans might like to see some un-seen production art. And believe me there's mroe where that came from!!!

Thanks !!!

Hi Eric

It's getting closer to the day we all go out and buy the Ren & Stimpy Lost Episodes DVD! I have been waiting for this DVD for months! I just can't wait to see all the UNAIRED episodes and all the kick-ass Bonus Material. Heres a question for ya. Are you in any of the Bonus Material in the Lost Episodes DVD?

- - - - Hey Jesse!

Yeah I almost forgot that the LOST episodes of R&S will be out next Tuesday on DVD!!! And yesssss, I do appear a few times in the DVD extras (but I appear to be super nervous - John put me on the spot - what a nice guy!!!).

Hi Eric

It is cool that your in the bonus material of the R & S Lost Episodes DVD. This is going to be the coolest DVD EVER!!!!! I bet that when people start buying this DVD and they love it Paramount or Spike TV will be BEGGING for more R & S cartoons. I still would love to see "Willderness Adventure" and "Life Sucks" be produced for TV or DVD. I still think that you do a killer job at doing Stimpy's voice.

QUESTION:

What was it like doing the Audio Commentary with John as Ren & Stimpy on the Games Animation R & S episodes on the 3rd thrue 5th season DVD sets?

QUESTION:

- - - - hey Jesse:

I'll be the first to admit - I thought it WAS kinda strange for us to do the commentaries on those DVDs, mainly because I know I didn't work on any of the first few seasons of R&S episodes.

As you can tell from the commentaries - it was tuff to do - I struggled cause there were episodes that NONE of us had ever seen before, so we were like, "Uhhhhh . . . . OK, the BG Paintings are nice . . . . ."

I know that John had a hand in writing a few show premises that Games later completed, but other than that VIACOM asked US, and we DID what they wanted us to do!

So I personally appologize if they were boring . . . BUT to make it up to you the LOST Episodes are coming out next week, and those DVD extras will be waaaaaaaaay better!!!!

- Eric Bauza

P.S. it was fun to meet Mike Pitaki the voice behind GEORGE LIQUOR! He's hilarious!!!

Jesse Oliver said...

Hi Eric

No need to appologize for the Games R & S commentaries. They were entertaining to me. I've seen every single Games R & S episode so many times as a kid that now when ever I watch a Games episode I always lisin to the commentary that goes with it. You are right, Mike Pataki is friggin HILARIOUS!! I finally found the hiddin commentary on the season 5 and more of 4 R & S DVD set. It was cool to here a commentary with R & S and George Liquor, even if it was only half of a commentary. But anyway, back to the Lost Episodes DVD. I can not wait for this DVD!! I hope that in the future John will finally animate the R & S episodes "George Liquor's Willderness Adventure" and "Life Sucks" I would LOVE to see more R & S cartoons. I can't believe that on Tuseday I will finally get to see "Naked Beach Frenzy", "Altruists" and "Stimpys Pregnant"!! As Ren said in NBF

"I'M SO READY FOR THIS!!!!"

Thats right I am so ready for this DVD!

QUESTION:

How did you feel about the R & S cartoon "Onward & Upward"? Thats one of my favorites but some people didn't like it. What do you think?

Eric, wow, thank you so much for your comment on my blog, I can't tell you how good that made me feel :D

Your future cat drawing is really amazing!

I'd love to see more of your drawings- I was so impressed and excited to see that you drew, too, in addition to all your amazing voice acting work!

I'd also be really curious to hear how you and John K met up.

Thanks for the cool blog!! :)

- - - - Hey Jesse:

During produciton I was very excited to be working on the first new episode of R&S - which was Onward and Upward. Looking back I think it would've been better had it been chopped down to 11 mins.

You can have epic episodes, and you can have 11 min shorts. I think that one in particular should've
been 11 mins.

PLUS my voice wasn't as good in that one compared to the later episodes. What you're actually hearing in that partucular episode is my auditon.

But all in all - the whole dinner sequence was prolly the best part about it - only for the great drawings and it was a scene inspired by a 3 Stooges film (but they pretty much all are!).

Thanks!

Hi Eric

I bought the Lost Episodes DVD the day it came out. I spent all that night watching it and this is really the COOLEST DVD EVER!!!!!!

All six episodes are PURE CLASSIC and the Bonus Material are so FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!!!!!

It was really cool seeing You, John, Katie, Eddie, vincent and the rest of the gang on the DVD. All the behind the scene storys are AWESOME and I hope to GOD that so many people are buying so many copies of this DVD that Paramount or Spike TV will beg John for more R & S cartoons for TV or DVD!

Eddie Fitzgerald is right, After watching "Altruists" John K is really ready for a Feature Film. The Ren & Stimpy "Life Sucks" story needs to be in theaters!

If John makes more R & S cartoons the next story that I would love to see be produced is "Wilderness Adventure" with George Liquor. I love the R & S cartoons with George Liquor. "Man's Best Friend" and "Dog Show" are classics.

Lets all hope to GOD that there will be more Ren & Stimpy cartoons in the future!

"LONG LIVE REN & STIMPY!!!!!!"

I heard someone mention in the interviews on the new DVD that you were responsible for the gag where Ren is weaving in and out between the girls titties! That jokes made everyone laugh the hardest. You're too cool!

Hey, Eric, I'm a big fan of yours. I picked the the DVD and you did an awesome job filling Billy's shoes. The extras are awesome! Let's hope the DVD's sell good!

>You can have epic episodes, and you can have 11 min shorts. I think that one in particular should've
been 11 mins.

Agreed, but I didn't think it was that gross. The throaway gags Eddie talks about should have been closer together.

Your Biggest fan, Jorge Garrido

Also, Eric is it true you do an impression of Billy West's Ren? That's awesome!

Hey Eric

I noticed in the "Stimpy's Pregnant" cartoon that your name is under Layouts in the opening credits. You should put on this blog some stills of the scenes that you drew in this Ren & Stimpy Classic.

Unknown said...

Update this thing already!!! At least you could pay someone to do it for you since you got so much money in royalties from the APC DVD sales...how much have you made so far? Last I heard it was in the 6 digit range. Now everyone knows whey they call you Eric "Gold Nugget" Bauza.

Monkey Man (Oooo-oooo-ahhh!!) said...

"what the hell has that got to do with anything! I believe in no religion, so should I not get Christians to draw on the cartoons, or Muslims to write? Crazy! Has nothing to do with making funny animation and it never would come into it!"

It was a josh in refrence to how members of that "church" try to sue people for criticising them. I never said you should descriminate against other religions. Chill out.

Anyways...

Yes, I want to see updates too! Show us some of the shit you did for APC. I'd like to know who drew what.
